The Illinois State Toll Highway generic specification requires that any precast system supplier desiring inclusion on the Tollway approved list for precast concrete pavement slab systems must develop standard fabrication and installation details, perform a trial installation to demonstrate the system, and achieve a minimum of 70% load transfer efficiency (LTE) through Falling Weight Deflectometer testing. The Super-Slab® system completed all these requirements, attained an average of 92% LTE and was placed on the Tollway approved list for pavement repairs and replacement on October 3, 2007.
