Projects in the Northeastern United States are manufactured at Fort Miller’s unrivaled, DOT-certified facilities that include more than 250,000 square feet of fully enclosed, climate-controlled production space. What would you think if you could rehabilitate a high volume traffic area overnight while leaving behind high-performance precast pavement slabs in a few hours? Super!

At last there is a way to make durable repairs to concrete pavement in those highway “trouble spots” that are just too busy to take out of service. When you have only 8 hours or less, you need to consider the Super-Slab® System.

The Super-Slab® System is a slab-on-grade approach to using fully cured precast concrete slabs for pavement replacement. The slabs are placed directly upon a precisely graded sub-base surface and made continuous with a unique grouted dowel load transfer system. After the slabs have been placed, bedding grout is pumped under the slabs to ensure the slabs are uniformly and fully supported.

Super-Slab® is used for continuous and intermittent pavement replacement. Slabs are precisely cast to fit curved and super-elevated alignment specific to each location. This non-planar functionality allows replacement of entire mainline, ramps, intersections and even crosswalks in a series of overnight work windows.
